- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all essential shop functions.
- Manage the maintenance department budget.
- Manage the inspection repair and servicing of all fleet tractors and trailers.
- Work with safety department in training all maintenance employees in OSHA and safety procedures.
- Promote quality and continuous Improvement.
- Manage equipment preventive maintenance service intervals and records.
- Ensure that working areas are properly maintained cleaned and OSHA compliant.
- Responsible to ensure that inventory control security safety and shop policies are adhered to.
- Write and implement SOPs on tractor and trailer maintenance.
- Hire and train a staff of (4) maintenance clerks located in different cities and manage daily operations.
- Manage the work of employees in the maintenance department to ensure accurate completion in a timely manner.
- Perform PM scheduling parts purchasing and inventory control.
- Availability during 24/7 operations
- Other duties as assigned
