S.A. Comunale is seeking a Safety Intern.
Under the direction of the Safety Manager this position will handle all training programs supplies purchase orders status reports. This position works closely with the Safety Department field manpower and various project managers.
This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast paced multi-tasked environment with a focus towards specific safety practices and health programs. It also requires travel to branch office locations jobsites and customer facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist with creating site specific safety procedures
- Prepares and updates various types of status reports for the department as directed by the Safety Manager.
- Conduct audits on job sites.
- Assist with updating files
- Update the SDS program
- Assist with observations and training program
- Assist in conducting effective worker orientation program for every new employee and administer and record their participation.
- Assist in maintaining safety records including training records tool box meetings and OSHA 300 log
Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in safety or related field required.
- Any safety related certifications are a plus.
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word Excel PowerPoint) applications is required.
- Ability to deal with fraught situations in a professional manner is required.
