With over 25 years in business Occupli is a leading provider of health and safety recruitment consultancy and environmental solutions in Ireland. Occupli has been Putting Safety to Work for over two decades. Occupli are recruiting an EHS Officer for our client in the semiconductor manufacturing industry in Co. Kildare. This is a 12-month contract with potential extension. The successful candidate will be working 40hrs a week (fully-on site) on the Intel site in Leixlip Kildare.
The EHS Officer will be responsible for the following:
High Level:
- Manages all regulatory reporting
- Oversees the development implementation and enforcement of the field EHS policies procedures and business processes
- Develops and delivers required EHS training and EHS communication initiatives
- Conducts EHS management system audits and inspections for each location within area of responsibility
- Uses appropriate communication and escalation to inform upper management of all injuries and emergency incidents including updates until root cause corrective & preventive actions are identified and implemented
- Participates in prevention initiatives and as an EHS resource in incident investigations
- Manages local EHS field leading performance metrics and uses information to assist in business reporting and decision-making
- Continue to maintain and improve EHS performance
Part of day-to-day tasks:
- Manufacturing floor walks to discuss safety concerns with all engineers during equipment installation
- Ensuring all paperwork is updated SPA Go-Stop forms etc.
- Encouragement of our safety culture within the team and ensuring engineers to Stop-The-Job if someone feels unsafe incorrect procedure not knowing next steps etc.
- KPI reporting training gaps etc.
- Delivering safety-related training
- Safety presentations/talks with the team
Requirements
- Ideal candidate should have semi-conductor industry experience (semi-conductor equipment understanding)
- Should have worked in the manufacturing industry on the equipment side
- Should ideally have experience with safe pass heights & ladder safety
