Job Description:
About the Role:
The Blender positionis responsible forreceiving blending and preparing raw tea materials to support production operations. This role ensures blends are produced accurately according to specifications whilemaintainingproduct quality lot integrity and inventory accuracy in a safe and efficient manner. You will be performing the following tasks including but not limited to:
- Operates forklift palletjackand hoist to successfully run the bag slitting equipment to blend and process tea for the production lines.
- Checks and completes tea blend paperwork to verify the accuracy of eachcomponent.
- Repairs and tapes damaged bags of tea.
- Manuallydumpstea as needed.
- Operates both North and South tea blending systems according to instructions.
- Moves tea hoppers toappropriate machinelines for production.
- Verifiescorrectblend is placed in the right location for each line.
- Completesrework activity as needed.
- Assistsin other areas of Blending Warehouse or Production as needed.
Important Details:
Thisis a full-time permanent roleon the1stshift whichoperatesfrom 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. Overtime may beavailable dependingon the needs of the business.Theanticipatedstartingwage rate for this position is$20.95 per hour.
Youllfit right in if you have:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED plus 12 years of experience in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail andtheflexibilityto adapt to daily production needs and changes.
- Previousexperienceoperatinga forklift is preferred but not.
- Must be ableto toleratenoise associated with production equipment and changing weather conditions (heat/cold/humidity).
- Ability tousepersonal protective equipment including company uniformshearingand eye protection.
- Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day tomonitorproduction.
- Ability tolift upto 50 pounds.
