Fireplace Service Technician

OVERVIEW

Summary/Objective

This position performs a wide variety of activities related to the Packaging loading delivering of all fireplace materials & supplies.

Essential Functions of Warehouse Driver role

• Attend monthly safetymeeting; follow all company/OSHA safety policies and procedures.

• Packaging & staging nextdaysjobs for pickup/delivery.

• Verify all materials packaged for properquantitiesall materials match sales order.

• Discuss with Installers shortages and discrepancies report discrepancies to Operations.

• Assistinstallers/customers with load out get paperwork signed and file paperwork.

• Manage installer returns.

• Keep all bins and wood storage areas clean.

• Organizecagerestock supplies.

• Clean debris and pallets fromdockarea daily.

• Keeping warehouse clean and free of trip hazards.

• Assistreceiving manager when needed.

• Pickup orders from various vendors. Pickups must be verified before leavingvendor.

• Deliver materials to job sites/customers homes

• Maintain company vehicle serviced and clean.

• Operate company vehiclesforkliftsand other warehouse equipment.

• Maintainfuel receiptsturninto Operations Manager.

• Promoteteam work.

• All otherduties asassigned by supervisor.

Competencies/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of:

• Operational methods procedures policiesrulesand regulations.

• Safe and proper loading and unloading of company and delivery vehicles.

• Correct English usage spelling grammarpunctuationand mathematical concepts.

• Use ofterminology of requisitions purchase orders invoices and other Operations documentation.

• Modern office methods and equipment including computers and application software.

• Automated records storage and management systems.
