Position Summary: Responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging to assist in medical diagnosis. Ensures accurate image acquisition patient safety and timely support for clinical decision-making in a fast-paced radiology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the process clearly
Perform diagnostic imaging using appropriate transducers and techniques
Position patients to obtain optimal imaging results
Review patient history and clinical information prior to exams
Evaluate image quality and ensure accurate documentation and labeling
Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures as needed
Maintain patient comfort safety and privacy throughout examinations
Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and imaging supplies
Follow hospital policies infection control and safety standards
Support departmental workflow efficiency and productivity
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound imaging techniques
Ability to work independently in a high-volume clinical setting
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program (Required)
