Were seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to support organics and PFAS testing in our environmental laboratory in Reading PA.
In this role you will perform analytical testing method development and data validation on water and wastewater samples for PFAS and other organic analytes ensuring the accuracy and quality our clients rely on for regulatory compliance and decision-making. Using advanced extraction techniques and instrumentation you will generate precise defensible data in a fast-paced laboratory environment. You will also contribute to method optimization and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining data integrity within LIMS and adhering to QA/QC standards to deliver reliable high-quality results.
What Youll Do
Perform PFAS and organic analysis using LC-MS/MS and applicable instrumentation and methodologies
Generate accurate defensible data in compliance with QA/QC standards and client requirements
Document and manage analytical data in LIMS ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance
Support method development validation optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
Troubleshoot instrumentation and analytical methods and support investigations including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Perform instrument calibrations quality control checks and preventative maintenance
Support internal and external audits including preparation and response to findings
Develop review and update SOPs to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assist with training and supporting laboratory staff on methods instrumentation and procedures
Communicate analytical results and provide technical interpretation as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support laboratory and client needs
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree in Chemistry Environmental Science or related scientific field
5 years of hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS (strongly preferred) GC-MS or GC instrumentation
Demonstrated experience in PFAS and/or organic analytical testing including sample preparation extraction and method optimization supporting continuous improvement
Strong ability to evaluate quality control (QC) data and drive appropriate corrective actions
Proficient in LIMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word and Outlook)
