Senior Test Engineer

In the role as a Senior Test Engineer you are part of a team that oversees the test and CI/CD environment.

You will test and verify the functionality of our control and monitoring products using Hardware-in-the-loop riggs together with our proprietary testing framework XPTP.

The team consists of Test Engineers with a variety of experience and age. It is an engaged group that have a large focus on delivering value and knowledge to the development. We work in an agile manner and try to continuously improve our way of working which gives you the opportunity to be part of shaping the future of our development.

The team works closely with the SW developers guiding them in creating testcases and making sure the test-cases are compatible with our Hardware-in-the-loop rigs. When necessary you will also need to design and develop the rigs to support the new features that are being developed.

There is close cooperation with our Product Owners and System Integration Test-team with whom you will review and analyze requirements and plan where and how tests shall be performed. When there is time for a release the team oversee the build process and make sure the software is build using a Jenkins pipeline.

Examples of you daily tasks:

• Write and review testcases in Python

• Analyzing daily test runs

• Review and analyze system requirements

• Design build and update HIL rig

• Aiding in expanding out testing framework XPTP

You will do this by using:

• PyCharm

• Linux Debian

• Jenkins

• The Atlassian suite (Bitbucket Jira Confluence)

• Embedded Linux (Yocto)

• Zephyr (RTOS)

• XPTP (Xylem Performance Test Platform)

In this role we see you as a driven person that likes to discuss solutions and strategies around testing. You understand embedded systems and the limitations they have and how to verify their functionality.

Since we depend heavily on our Hardware-in-the-loop rig and the automation equipment that they are built with a deep understanding of hardware and logic around automation is beneficial.

We like you to have:

• Master in electronic- or software engineering

• A few years experience as a Test engineer

• Fluent in Swedish and English both in writing and speaking

• Experience with PyTest.

• Communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP DNP3 DNP3 WITS IEC104 is beneficial

• PLC programming IEC61131-3 is beneficial
