Business Overview

Our Clients & Strategy team covers Business Development Investor Relations External Relations Sustainable Investment and Brand Marketing & Communications including Internal Communications.

It is responsible for all communications to investor prospects existing investors and their asset consultants as well as a broad range of other stakeholders including governments and media.

The Role

• Partner with investments and client teams and IFM senior leadership to develop asset class strategies conduct product reviews and incubate new ideas aligned with market opportunities.
• Conduct analysis to develop a deep understanding across the firm of regional client needs competitive dynamics regulatory trends across institutional and non institutional segments.
• Review market trends that expand opportunities for the firms investment capabilities and implications for product and pricing.
• Support the ideation concept validation and market testing of new products leveraging client feedback desktop analysis and market research.
• Conduct pricing and financial analysis to evaluate product economics and support effective fundraising.
• Support strategic partnerships with Owners and other large investors including on co investment opportunities to drive growth and strengthen relationships.
• Partner with Investments GCS GER and other teams to develop and execute the firms product strategy.
• Contribute to knowledge building and internal practices within the broader product strategy and innovation team.

Strategic Planning

• Support the development of product and assetclass strategies through market research analysis and preparation of materials
• Assist with product reviews and strategic initiatives by collating data conducting analysis and preparing summary insights
• Contribute to the development of investment and product narratives for internal stakeholders and client discussions
• Build and maintain financial models to support product economics pricing analysis and business cases.

Business Performance

• Contribute to the identification of broader industry trends and asset owner dynamics that could contribute to the evolution of IFMs corporate strategy and become a catalyst for the expansion of IFMs investment capabilities.
• Support investment teams in translating product ideas into clear wellstructured strategy documentation.
• Conduct market competitor and client research to identify trends opportunities and gaps.
• Analyse industry reports client feedback and internal performance data to support product development and enhancement
• Monitor and assess the competitive landscape to stay informed of industry developments and benchmark IFMs products.

Policy and Process Management

Market Research

• Support AI tool use within the team and broader organisation to improve outputs and efficiency.
• Leverage data analytics machine learning and other emerging technologies to enhance our investment research process.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Strategy team members to support delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Support engagement with senior executives and stakeholders to gain support alignment and buy-in for the investment research engine its objectives and deliverables.
• Facilitate effective communication and co-ordination among cross-functional teams to ensure seamless functioning of the investment research engine.
• Collaborate with the four other teams within Clients &
• Strategy to ensure that all deliverables of the investment research engine align with;
  • client relationships and business development efforts undertaking by Global Client Solutions team;
  • policy research done by the Global External Relations team;
  • sustainability strategy delivered by the SustainableInvestment team;
  • marketing strategies and materials for new and existing products developed by the Marketing team.

Your Background and Experience

Experience

• 2-4 years relevant experience within asset/funds management industry gained in similar roles and/or within a consulting/strategy function.
• Experience working on complex stakeholder interactions.
• Exposure to product development investment analysis strategy or clientfocused roles is desirable.
• Foundational knowledge of funds management and private markets from previous roles within financial services.
• Market and product knowledge in the areas of Infrastructure Debt Listed Equities and Real Estate at a global level.
• Understanding of the competitive landscape in global funds management and business dynamics of large global asset owners.
• Business strategy including financial metrics and key performance drivers.
• Stakeholder engagement and management.
• Financial modelling including pricing and profitability analysis.
• Analytical skills including ability to undertake analytics on various data sets e.g. competitor data market trends client feedback).
• Fluency with AI tools and possible applications to the PS&I teams work.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate analysis into simple structured insights.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in finance economics business or similar
