As part of the technical leadership team you will contribute to the mission of the software function by leading teams on delivery of quality products innovation product verification testing and development of team capabilities.

In this role you will Identify recommend and lead the implementation of automated test processes and tools that will optimize and improve the quality of testing across the test pyramid and in line with DevOps strategies.

Job Description

In this role you will:

As an Senior Automation Test engineer you will be a part of a Scrum team and designing implementing maintaining and executing the automation and manual test cases.
You will be required to document the designs and verification activities; perform component & subsystem level verification participate in system level verification.
Understand the vision to design and integrate quality within Software Development Life Cycle.
Expert in developing and executing maintainable automation tests for acceptance functional and regression test cases.(Mandatory)
Should be capable of designing developing and maintaining reliable automation tests for acceptance functional and regression testing (Mandatory)
Demonstrate hands-on experience in manual testing and API automation.(Mandatory)
Hands-on experience in RESTful Service Automation using Rest Assured & Selenium. (Using Java) (Mandatory)
Hands-on experience in Core Java Cucumber/behave or any BDD- Behavior Driven Development Framework.(Mandatory)
Apply strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and design principles.
Experience with Agile methodologies for software development
Bring experience in medical device testing or exposure to the healthcare IT/medical device industry. (Highly preferred)
Be self-motivated with the ability to quickly grasp complex issues and make informed decisions even with incomplete requirements.
Estimate task efforts accurately and proactively identify and communicate dependencies to the Scrum Lead or Manager.
Communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbal especially in a global team environment.
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Lead impact assessments and contribute to quality engineering strategies for product releases.
Mentor and guide team members in implementing test automation across teams fostering awareness and competence.
Lead verification activities to ensure high-quality and timely product releases.
Hold or be working toward certifications such as ASQ ISTQB CQE or CQA. (Preferred)

Educational Qualifications :

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science Technology Engineering and Math) with minimum 8 years of experience

Desired Technical skills / experience:

Minimum industry experience of 8 years in the Test and automation domain in implementing Automation test frameworks and methodology in context of Agile & modern DevOps inclusive of 5 years working as Automation Engineer leveraging test automation solutions of functional testing.
Expertise with Testing lifecycle and core testing process/techniques using different test approaches.
Experience related to software design for reliability setting and demonstrating reliability targets in software.
Expertise in Continuous Integration /Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) process and test automation.
Excellent knowledge with test execution estimates design test plans & strategy writing test scenarios cases executing test cases and defect lifecycle handling.
