Job Summary
Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital (WBUH) is seeking a highly motivated Emergency Medicine physician to join our dynamic Department of Emergency Medicine as a Clinical Faculty Nocturnist. This position is designed for physicians who are interested in strictly working overnight shifts while contributing to a thriving academic emergency department.
This is an exciting opportunity for an emergency physician passionate about delivering exceptional patient care with opportunities to advance medical education within a collaborative and high-acuity clinical environment.
As a clinical faculty member you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care in one of Michigans busiest emergency departments. You will work alongside a dedicated team of emergency medicine physicians advanced practice providers residents fellows and medical students who are committed to fostering a culture of clinical excellence teamwork and academic inquiry.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities you will actively participate in departmental quality and safety initiatives helping to maintain and improve the highest standards of patient care. You will also contribute to the education and mentorship of residents fellows and medical students providing bedside teaching. Faculty in this role will hold an academic appointment with the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine supporting the shared academic mission of both institutions.
We are specifically seeking candidates interested in joining our dedicated nocturnist team with a schedule focused primarily on overnight coverage and a long-term commitment to night shifts. Clinical responsibilities will include providing care in both our adult and pediatric emergency centers. This role is ideal for physicians who enjoy the unique pace autonomy and clinical focus of overnight emergency care. Candidates who thrive in a high-acuity high-volume team-oriented environment and who value the critical role that night physicians play in emergency department operations are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualification Highlights: - MD or DO degree with board certification (or board eligibility) by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. - Strong experience in adult and pediatric emergency care. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - A strong ability to thrive in a team-oriented multidisciplinary environment while contributing to both the academic and clinical missions of the department.
