    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management or related discipline.
    2. Minimum of two years related experience in public education private industry business or government.
    3. Currently hold or ability to obtain Asbestos Building Inspector Accreditation within 6 months of hire.
    4. Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona State Drivers License.
    5. Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Work collaboratively with District Superintendent Building Administrators and staff to ensure an operational and safe environment for all students and staff.
    2. Identify and recommend repairs and improvements for the school facilities and grounds in order to maintain healthy and safe environments for students staff and the community.
    3. Oversee inspection of buildings structures and/or items reported to be in need of repair for the purpose of identifying repair/replacement needs necessary to maintain systems.
    4. Supervise all department and warehouse employees and oversee the scope of duties.
    5. Meet regularly with District Superintendent School Principal or designee and discuss concerns and progress on all work orders.
    6. Supervise the ordering of equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring the availability of items as needed to properly maintain facilities.
    7. Coordinate district purchase of maintenance vehicles and equipment.
    8. Oversee project material and labor estimates.
    9. Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or for conveying information.
    10. Represents the district as liaison and attends local and state meetings related to district maintenance and operations.
    11. Ensure preventative maintenance as defined by the manufacturer is followed in accordance with daily weekly monthly and yearly schedules as required.
    12. Interact with City Engineering Department contractors architects and engineers in connection with short and long-term capital projects.
    13. Develop a preventative maintenance program that is in compliance with the School Facilities Boards plan and oversees the completion of all required communication and reporting to Arizona School Facilities Board.
    14. Conduct regular building inspections for safety and procedure compliance.
    15. Coordinate inspections by state agencies insurance companies fire police and health department.
    16. Ensure customer service and Facility Support service is effectively provided to the end users facility within the assigned area of responsibility ensuring an effective and responsive in-house and/or contracted capability for emergency and routine requirements at schools and support facilities 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to reach with hands and arms sit stand walk stoop and bend as necessary. The employee may lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 10 pounds and could occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds ascend/descend ladders utilize equipment. The employee will read correspondence and computer screens and use the telephone.


    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
    The Director of District Facilities reports to the Superintendent. The District Facilities Director will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
    INITIAL WAGE PLACEMENT PLAN:Starting at$65000 annual
    WORK YEAR: 12 month / 8 hours / EXEMPT
