Laboratory Technician

Working hours are Tuesday - Friday 10:00 - 13:00 12 hours per week.

As a Laboratory Technician you will complete to the required quality standards the analysis of food samples for a given method using laboratory techniques.

• Registration preparation and analysis of samples as required.
• Adhering to documented procedures for all aspects of laboratory work ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded that samples are handled correctly.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day
• Maintain turnaround time at >99% ensuring that daily targets are achieved.
• Ensure personal protective clothing equipment is worn in accordance with the Health & Safety policy.
• Maintain a clean as you go mentality
• Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
• Be available for overtime as and when required.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience within a Lab is not required. Full training will be provided.
• Educated to GCSE Level.
• Experience in working in part of a team.
• Good organisation and time management.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to self-motivate.
