Job Summary

Woodstock Union High School is seeking a motivated enthusiastic and student-centered individual to serve as the JV Boys Soccer Coach for the upcoming fall season. This position plays a vital role in developing student-athletes skills teamwork sportsmanship and love for the game while supporting the overall philosophy of the schools athletic program.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan organize and conduct daily practices focused on skill development conditioning and game strategy
  • Foster a positive inclusive and respectful team environment
  • Support the development of players for progression to the varsity level
  • Collaborate with the Varsity Head Coach to ensure program alignment and continuity
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices games and team events
  • Promote academic success and personal growth among team members
  • Ensure compliance with school district and Vermont Principals Association (VPA) policies
  • Communicate effectively with players parents school staff and administration

Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching experience (soccer preferred) at the youth or high school level
  • Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals rules and coaching techniques
  • Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to sportsmanship character development and educational athletics
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must meet all school and district employment requirements including background check
