Position Overview
The Hospitalist Physician provides direct inpatient care for acutely ill hospitalized adult nonsurgical patients. This role includes managing complex medical conditions providing internal medicine consults and leading interdisciplinary teams to ensure highquality efficient care from admission through discharge.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive inpatient medical care
- Manage patients with multiple comorbidities
- Provide internal medicine consults as requested
- Participate in critical care management as appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care
- Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards
- Support Sentaras mission vision and values
Qualifications
- Residencytrained in Internal Medicine or related specialty
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Board Certification required within 4 years of eligibility
