JOB TITLE/LOCATION:

Manufacturing Engineering Trainee Baldwin Park CA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Provide support to the manufacturing departments assigned in developing qualifying and implementing manufacturing process.

• Utilize engineering principles to understand and increase manufacturing efficiency.

• Work on various manufacturing projects to improve cost ensure product quality reduce lead time while creating documentation controls.

• Participate in time studies to collect data for cost improvement projects.

• Create detail drawings for parts tooling and fixturing.

• Will occasionally operate CNC machines to support manufacturing.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in a variety of manufacturing processes (preferred)
• Experience with milling turning and/or grinding aerospace materials (preferred)
• Experience in working with aluminum Inconel titanium stainless steel and aerospace superalloys (preferred)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to read analyze and interpret engineering drawings general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks modeling of parts assemblies and drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills
• Excellent planning organizing and coordinating skills

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) which requires the incumbent to be a U.S. Person which is defined as a U.S. citizen a lawful permanent resident green card holders U.S. National Refugee or Asylee.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location experience education skills qualifications performance and business or organizational needs. Salary Range: $75000 annually.
