The role:
As a Payment Operations Technician youll play a key role in ensuring our payment and card processing systems remain stable accurate and efficient. Youll help safeguard service reliability support continuous improvement and collaborate across teams to keep our payment engine running smoothly.

You will:
Monitor live payment systems to ensure stability compliance and SLA performance
Respond to alerts and technical escalations performing rootcause analysis
Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation
Work closely with Product Service Operations Finance Risk Compliance and thirdparty suppliers
Maintain accurate operational documentation and support audit readiness
Share knowledge and contribute to team capability building

What Youll Bring:
Were looking for someone who is curious analytical and comfortable navigating complex technical environments.

Essential skills:
Strong analytical and problemsolving ability
Experience with payment or financial operations systems
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios or AppDynamics
Clear communication and collaboration skills
High attention to detail and accountability

Desirable experience:
Payments fintech or financial services background
Exposure to scripting or automation (Python PowerShell Bash)
Experience with observability tools like Splunk or Grafana
Understanding of FCA PSD2 AML or other regulatory frameworks
Knowledge of ITIL or incident/problem/change management
