The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join our team.
The qualified candidate will support aerospace manufacturing and engine test operations through instrumentation selection calibration troubleshooting and continuous improvement. This highly collaborative role provides exposure toevolving testing anddiverse instrumentationsensors data acquisitions and measurement technologies while working with various engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges. This qualified candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate reliable measurement systems that support both production and testing activities.
This position will also include:
Developing improving reviewing calibration processes and technical standards.
To include using CAD based software to design fixtures electrical schematics and VBA for macro-based calibration forms.
Evaluating measurement requirements and supporting selection of appropriate instrumentation based on accuracy range and application needs.
Hands on troubleshootingand support of jet engine test cells used for commercial and military engine validation.
Providing technical guidance and support to instrumentation-calibrationtechnicians and engineering on instrumentation and measurement related topics.
Researching and implementing new instrumentation.
Determining root cause analysis pertaining to calibration issues.
Write/revise Company Instruction (CIs) and Common Operating Procedures (COPs).
Following direction and priorities established by supervisor.
Qualifications
Degree in relevant engineering discipline (Bachelors preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience working within a manufacturing or testing environment with at least one or more of the following:
Troubleshooting diagnosing and resolving issues related to instrumentation (wiring noise faulty instrument grounding scalingsoftware).
Electronics troubleshooting and repair or other related technical disciplines.
Experience with instrumentation used to measure: Pressure Voltage Current Force Torque Flow Temperature Vibration Frequency etc.
Experience working with automations tools such asPython and
U.S. citizenship is required.â Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed. âCandidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
