Position Overview

The Director of Geomaticsfor theOrlando (ORL) metrowill spearhead thegrowth direction and performanceof McAdamsGeomaticspracticein Central Florida. This leader will build and sustain strong relationships with private developerscontractors and key regional stakeholders acrossCentral Florida while leading a high-performingteam delivering exceptional projects.

As Directoryoullbe accountable for operational excellence project delivery quality and business developmentresults ensuring consistent execution aligned with McAdams standards culture and long-term strategicobjectives. This role also champions talent developmentcoaching mentoring and expanding the team to support growth elevate technical excellence and strengthen McAdams presence in theORL metro.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead growth of theGeomatics (Surveying and SUE)practice in Central Florida byleveragingmarket insight client relationships and pursuit strategies to secure new work and expand McAdams market presence.
• Createand execute theORL metroGeomatics Service Line strategy in alignment with the firm-wide goals in partnership with the Service Line Vice President.
• Drive business development activitiesincludingclient positioning proposal development interviews and contract negotiations with accountability forpursuitstrategy and outcomes.
• Develop and negotiate scopes fees schedules and contracts that appropriately define project requirements while ensuring profitability risk management anddeliveryviability.
• Serve as thesubjectmatterexpert for Geomaticsadvisingproject teams and senior leadership on complex or high-impact projects.
• Ensure high-quality efficient delivery ofsurveyingservices byoptimizingoperational processes resourceutilization QA/QC programs and cross-functional coordination.
• Build lead and develop a high-performingGeomatics team including hiring performance management succession planning and leadership development.
• Actively foster cross-selling and integration ofGeomatics services with other McAdamsservice lines and market sectors.
• Strengthen and manage key client relationships to drive repeat business long-term partnerships and exceptional client experience.
• Represent and promote the McAdams brand within themetrothrough industry leadership conferences professional organizations and marketing collaboration.
• Monitor market trends regulatory considerations safety obligations and economic conditions proactively adjusting strategy and communicating risks and opportunitiestoleadership.

Skills Experience

• Bachelors degree in Geomatics or related field preferred
• Must possess PLS or PSM license in Florida
• Minimum of 15 years total work experience and 10 yearsproven experience as a Project Manager
• Experience working within a multi-discipline engineering firm for a wide variety of clients with differing project deliverables andstandards.
• Demonstrateproficiencyin core competencies of project and resource management including mentoring performancemanagementand training
• Able to generate new work in existing and emerging markets through strong relationships within the industry
• Possess the technical abilitiesrequiredto lead and advise the various geomatics project teams through project execution and delivery.

Work Environment Physical Demands

• Work will primarily be in an office setting with limited opportunities to be exposed to adverse environmentalconditionshoweverwhen conducting field work exposure to outside environmental conditions should be expected.
• Workwill beprimarilyworkingwith fingers by picking pinching typing and grasping often with repetitive motion.
• Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen the ability to talkhearand sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to carry lift and push/pull up to 5 poundsfrequentlyand up to 30 pounds occasionally. When working in the field the need to carry lift and push/pull up to 50 or higher pounds may occur.
• Field based work will involve long-term standing and frequent walking as well as include common hazardsencounteredwhile maneuvering through project sites.
• Must have the ability to see smell hear talk climb balance stoop kneel and twist crouch crawl reach grasp sit stand and walk.
• Additionalphysical duties may berequiredas necessary.
