Location: Falmouth MA 02540
Duration: 13 Weeks (Travel/Contract)
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Hours: 36 hours/week

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a float pool environment. This role involves coordinating comprehensive nursing care supporting interdisciplinary teams and ensuring safe evidence-based practice across multiple units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver total patient care using the nursing process
• Administer medications safely and accurately
• Perform IV therapy and independent phlebotomy
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients
• Care for post-operative orthopedic and medically complex patients
• Manage chest tubes epidural analgesia and pain control
• Respond effectively to emergency and urgent clinical situations
• Provide patient and family education
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Identify and report signs of abuse or neglect as required by law
• Support end-of-life and palliative care needs
• Adhere to all clinical policies procedures and best practice standards
• Float between assigned inpatient units as operationally needed

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication competency
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia competency exam
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience
• Proficiency in IV therapy and phlebotomy (required)
• Travel nursing experience preferred
