Job Summary
Summary:A Welder II is responsible for performing advanced welding tasks joining metal parts using various techniques to create structures and components according to specifications. This role involves reading blueprints preparing materials ensuring the quality and safety of welded products and mentoring junior :Follow ValvKeep and Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve repair with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated company welding specifications and advanced valve repair according to company and maintain various shop equipment (rod oven temp probes flow meters PMI etc).Inspect welds for quality and accuracy making necessary adjustments to meet with team members to complete projects on time and within and repair welding equipment as in training and mentoring junior compliance with safety protocols and Requirements & Qualifications:Education & Experience:HS Education or GED trade school graduate or 3-5 years experience as a certified & Abilities:Meets all Welder qualifications and requirements outlined in Welder job completion of Welder Level II Written and Performance understanding of welding proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Proficient in welding principles and advanced flame cutting plasma arc cutting and gouging techniques/ oral & written communication to communicate professionally with customers as a representative of the understanding of the field job can do attitude and excellent customer service to lead and mentor junior :Moderate supervision be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving background check and drug/alcohol Physical Functions:Lifting: up to 50 or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all and carry: 50 pounds for 100 stooping walking and climbing or descending ladders stairs scaffolding self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to with others to exchange motions that may include the wrists hands and/or machinery and/or power motor vehicles or heavy the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of the work physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore).Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed.
