Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Manager to join their data and analytics team based in Krakow. This is a pivotal role supporting theorganisationsdata strategy with a specific focus on privacy operations and regulatory compliance. You will work as a subject matter expert within the first line ofdefence collaborating closely with data protection officers risk stewards and compliance teams. Your work will directly reduce the risk of data privacy breaches ensure adherence to global policies and help the businessoperateefficiently whilstmaintainingthe highest standards of data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on data privacy and protection lawsadvisingbusiness teams and infrastructure functions on compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

  • Identifydata privacy risks controlgapsand issues proactively developing and agreeing mitigation action plans with clear timescales and tracking progress to completion

  • Support the developmentimplementationand monitoring of data privacy controls ensuring effectiveness andmaintainingaccuratedocumentation of obligations and actions

  • Work collaboratively with the data and analytics team and data protection officers to ensure the widerorganisationunderstands andcomplies withglobalregionaland local data privacy regulations

  • Provide trainingguidanceand educational materials to build awareness and knowledge of data privacy laws across the Europe region

  • Monitor and report on the status of privacy riskscontrolsand issues to leadership ensuring visibility and escalation where necessary

  • Review local and regional practicesidentifyingopportunities for improvement in how data privacy is managed and governed

  • Help business teams and control owners fulfil their responsibilities under theorganisationsnon-financial risk framework

Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience in data privacy data governance datamanagementor data-related project delivery

  • Strong knowledge of European data protection laws particularly GDPR with ability to apply privacy regulations to real-world business scenarios

  • Analytical thinking with ability to deconstruct complex processes and documentation into clear understandable concepts

  • Attention to detail and curiosity toidentifyinconsistencies gaps and potential risks in processes and documentation

  • Ability toidentifyand assess privacy risks understanding materiality andprioritisingresponses accordingly

  • Strong people skills with ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders adjusting approach based on context and needs

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills able to articulate complex privacy issues in focused simple language

  • Problem-solving and decision-making capability with ability to influence and drive action across teams
