Intermediate Mechanical Technician

We are currently seeking a qualified Intermediate Mechanical Technician to support manufacturing and testing operations. This on-site role involves assembling test setups maintaining equipment and supporting alignment machining and mechanical ground support equipment activities. The ideal candidate will work hands-on with moderately complex systems under the direction of senior staff.
Location: Montreal QC

Schedule: Day shift (7 am to 3 pm)

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble or modify Material Ground and Support Equipment based on specific guidelines.
- Perform a variety of tasks including installation repair testing and maintenance of MGSE devices.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers in connection with MGSEs design issues with the research and recommendation of parts or components.
- Perform their work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules.
- Performs other related duties.
- Perform alignment or adjustment using high-precision equipment of sub-assemblies or flight or tooling assemblies according to theoretical values or guidelines submitted by Engineering.
- Perform testing troubleshooting and alignments of devices subsystems and systems.
- May be called upon to calibrate and/or characterize various tooling and/or flight components.
- DEC or equivalent in mechanical aeronautical or related engineering as assigned.
- A combination of other relevant experiences/education could be considered.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English is an asset (Prepares reports for the Ontario head office).
- Possesses the relevant knowledge and experience as per the assignment.
- Good knowledge of CAD software
- Knowledge of metrology
