Position: Translator (Chinese English / Malay)

Location: Tanjung Malim

Job Summary

Provide professional interpretation and translation support for Chinese engineers working in the

New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturing plant. Facilitate effective communication between

Chinese technical experts and local teams to ensure smooth project execution production

operations and problem-solving processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide on-site interpretation (ChineseEnglish / ChineseMalay) during meetings technical discussions trainings and daily communication.

2. Translate technical documents including SOPs work instructions reports emails and presentations.

3. Support communication between Chinese engineers and local departments such as Production Quality Engineering EHS Maintenance and Supply Chain.

4. Assist in coordinating cross-functional discussions related to manufacturing processes equipment installation commissioning and continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Ensure accurate and professional translation of technical terminology related to automotive and NEV production.

6. Support expatriate engineers in daily communication to improve work efficiency and collaboration.

7. Perform other tasks assigned by the management team.

Requirements

1. Bachelors degree or Diploma in Languages Engineering Business or related field.

2. Proficient in Chinese and English and Malay.

3. Prior experience in interpretation or translation within manufacturing environment is preferred.

4. Familiarity with automotive or New Energy Vehicle production terminology is an advantage.

5. Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment.

6. Strong sense of responsibility professionalism and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Chinese expatriates in manufacturing industry.

• Knowledge of technical terminology related to production equipment or engineering.

• Strong cross-cultural communication skills.
