The Role

• Teaching Art and Design across KS3 and KS4 with the potential to support A-Level Fine Art or Photography.

• Planning and delivering lessons across various media including painting sculpture and digital art.

• Supporting pupils with portfolio development and GCSE examination preparation.

• Promoting high standards of technical skill conceptual development and art history knowledge.

• Encouraging confidence independent research and a genuine passion for the visual arts.

• Organising and contributing to school art exhibitions and community creative projects.

• Engaging in whole-school CPD and the statutory ECT induction sessions and observations.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• A degree in Fine Art Graphic Design or a related creative discipline.

• A strong personal portfolio and a passion for artistic education and contemporary art.

• The ability to build positive relationships with students and inspire creative risk-taking.

• Excellent organisational skills and a reflective proactive approach to teaching.

• A commitment to the schools ethos of Creativity for All and holistic development.
