The Role

• Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 including performance composition and appraising skills.

• Planning and delivering lessons that balance academic musicology with practical performance.

• Supporting pupils with GCSE and A-Level coursework and external examination preparation.

• Managing music technology suites and encouraging the use of software like Sibelius or Logic Pro.

• Contributing to the schools busy concert calendar seasonal festivals and rehearsals.

• Participating in the statutory ECT induction and whole-school professional development sessions.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• A strong degree in Music or Music Education.

• Exceptional instrumental or vocal skills and a commitment to extracurricular excellence.

• The ability to inspire students through a broad range of musical genres and traditions.

• Excellent communication skills and a high level of energy and enthusiasm for the arts.
