We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join our this role you will be responsible for sparking curiosity and developing the next generation of innovators helping students master the laws of physics the complexities of biology and the reactions of chemistry.
The Department
You will join a high-energy Science team that treats the laboratory as a place of discovery prioritizing practical hands-on learning to ground theoretical concepts.
The department is exceptionally well-resourced with modern laboratories advanced data-logging equipment and a dedicated team of technicians experienced in trust-wide support.
We utilize a Spiral Curriculum ensuring that core concepts in energy matter and living organisms are revisited and deepened as students progress from Key Stage 3 to GCSE.

Core Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery: Delivering high-impact lessons across all three sciences at Key Stage 3 and specializing in your core discipline (Biology Chemistry or Physics) at GCSE and A-Level.
Scientific Method: Teaching students how to formulate hypotheses conduct rigorous experiments and analyse data with statistical precision.

Exam Preparation: Preparing Year 11 and Year 13 students for their final examinations with a particular focus on the Required Practicals and the application of scientific theory to unfamiliar contexts.
Pedagogical Innovation: Implementing effective Dual Coding and Retrieval Practice strategies to help students retain complex scientific terminology and abstract concepts.
STEM Leadership: Leading extracurricular initiatives such as Science Week projects eco-committees or competitive STEM challenges like the CREST Awards.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a specialist who can make the microscopic and the cosmic feel immediate and relevant. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a Science-based discipline (Biology Chemistry Physics or Biomedical Sciences).
Safety First: A proven ability to manage a laboratory environment safely maintaining strict adherence to CLEAPSS health and safety guidelines.
Subject Knowledge: Strong command of the current GCSE and A-Level specifications with the ability to challenge high-attainers through advanced scientific enquiry.
Communication: Excellent pedagogical skills particularly the ability to use modelling and analogy to explain difficult abstract concepts.
