A high-achieving secondary school in Cambridge is looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join its Science department on a full-time ASAP basis. This role offers the opportunity to teach motivated students in a structured environment where academic progress and subject mastery are strongly valued.

Physics is a well-supported subject within the school with strong uptake at Key Stage 5 and a history of solid examination results.


Role Snapshot

This position will involve teaching Physics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with A-Level teaching available for candidates with relevant experience. You will deliver lessons that promote logical thinking mathematical application and scientific investigation.

Teachers are encouraged to incorporate demonstrations modelling and practical experiments that support deeper understanding. The department values clear explanations and structured learning sequences that help students build confidence in tackling complex scientific problems.

You will also support students preparing for GCSE and A-Level assessments through targeted revision and intervention where necessary.


What Youll Be Responsible For

  • Planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons

  • Supporting student progress through regular assessment

  • Delivering practical experiments in line with safety guidance

  • Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations

  • Working collaboratively within the Science department

  • Contributing to revision sessions and academic support programmes

The timetable will be balanced and supported with shared departmental resources.
