The Role

• Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 including performance composition and appraising skills.

• Planning and delivering lessons that explore a wide range of musical genres from classical to contemporary.

• Supporting pupils with GCSE coursework and the mastery of music technology software (e.g. Logic Pro Sibelius).

• Leading and coaching school choirs orchestras or bands for termly concerts and community events.

• Encouraging confidence and self-expression through individual and group performance.

• Managing music resources and maintaining a safe creative learning environment.

• Participating in the statutory ECT induction and whole-school professional development sessions.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• A strong degree in Music or Music Education.

• Exceptional instrumental or vocal skills and a commitment to leading extracurricular activities.

• The ability to inspire students through a broad and inclusive musical curriculum.

• Excellent communication skills and a high level of energy and enthusiasm.

• A reflective approach to teaching and a desire to grow professionally within a supportive team.
