The Role

• Teaching General Science across KS3 and KS4 (Biology Chemistry and Physics) with opportunities for KS5 specialism.

• Planning and delivering engaging well-structured practical and theory-based lessons.

• Supporting pupils with required practicals investigative assessments and examination preparation.

• Promoting high standards of laboratory safety and technical precision in accordance with school policy.

• Encouraging scientific enquiry and independence through hands-on laboratory sessions.

• Monitoring pupil progress and using assessment data effectively to drive academic attainment.

• Participating in the schools extensive STEM enrichment programme and annual Science Week events.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• A strong degree in Biology Chemistry Physics or a related Science subject.

• Robust subject knowledge and the confidence to deliver practical demonstrations safely.

• High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and academic progress.
