The Role
Teaching Biology across KS3 and KS4 with the potential to support A-Level Biology.
Planning and delivering inclusive lessons covering cell biology genetics ecology and physiology.
Leading required practicals and ensuring students develop high-level investigative skills.
Acting as an inspiring role model to encourage students into life sciences and medical careers.
Utilizing the schools outdoor learning spaces for ecological studies and environmental projects.
Contributing to the schools vibrant STEM extracurricular timetable and Biology Olympiad entries.
Engaging in whole-school CPD and the statutory ECT induction sessions and observations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
A degree in Biology Biomedical Science or a related field.
A strong personal interest in biological research and a commitment to practical excellence.
The ability to build positive relationships with students and inspire curiosity about the natural world.
Excellent organisational skills and a high level of energy and enthusiasm for classroom teaching.
A commitment to the schools ethos of inclusive education and student success.
