Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing developing and testing a wide range of mechanical components systems and machinery. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage projects from concept through to completion ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality safety and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical solutions from initial concept to detailed engineering using CAD software such as SolidWorks AutoCAD or similar programmes.

• Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to test and validate the performance durability and safety of designs.

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including detailed drawings schematics and manufacturing specifications.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including electrical engineers project managers and technicians to ensure seamless project integration and execution.

• Oversee the fabrication assembly installation and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.

• Identify diagnose and resolve technical issues and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure all designs and processes comply with relevant industry codes standards and health and safety regulations.

• Prepare detailed reports technical presentations and project progress updates for senior management and stakeholders.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise product design manufacturing processes and overall organisational efficiency.

Qualifications

• A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required. A Masters degree would be advantageous.

• Proven professional experience working in a mechanical engineering role.

• Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software and other engineering tools.

• A solid understanding of core engineering principles including thermodynamics fluid mechanics materials science and structural analysis.

• Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with project management principles and practices would be beneficial.
