Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and oversee manufacturing engineering operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage projects from concept through production while meeting cost quality and timeline objectives.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team providing mentorship training and performance guidance.
- Develop implement and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency quality and safety.
- Collaborate with design production and quality teams to support new product development and process improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Oversee new product introduction (NPI) from concept through production ensuring smooth transitions.
- Review customer and sales data to ensure completeness for quotations; estimate manufacturing costs and margins.
- Manage implementation of new equipment automation and technologies to enhance capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and provide technical solutions to improve output.
- Manage budgets resources and project timelines effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to quality management systems.
Compliance & Standards - Ensure adherence to ISO 13485 ISO 14001 and AS9100 standards.
- Act as Process Owner for Customer-Related Processes and Design & Development (ISO 13485).
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
Required Qualifications Education - Bachelors degree (BS/BA) in Engineering or a related field
Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
Skills - Strong leadership and team management abilities
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining fabrication assembly automation)
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM and engineering tools
- Expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent project management and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of quality systems and ISO standards
