Job Summary

Role: SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Functional Lead

Location: Fairfield NJ (Hybrid minimal onsite as needed)

Duration: Contract to hire

Overview:

We are seeking an SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Functional Lead to take ownership of a newly implemented SAP environment within a manufacturing organization. This role will step in post-go-live and serve as the primary SAP SME supporting ongoing operations optimization and business alignment.

This is a highly visible role working directly with business stakeholders to ensure SAP is effectively supporting core manufacturing and operational processes.

What is client looking for:

Strong SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud functional lead with process manufacturing experience (powders/contract manufacturing preferred) who can own the system post-implementation and work closely with business stakeholders
Hands-on SAP expert with migration/implementation background who can bridge functional technical handle troubleshooting optimization and act as the go-to SAP SME

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud SME following implementation
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions
Support and optimize SAP processes across manufacturing supply chain and related functions
Lead troubleshooting issue resolution and continuous system improvements
Manage functional testing UAT coordination and production validation
Assist with system enhancements upgrades and ongoing configuration
Provide user support training and documentation as needed

Required Experience

Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (required)
Proven background supporting or leading SAP implementations or migrations
Experience in manufacturing environments (process manufacturing preferred)
Ability to bridge functional business needs with SAP system capabilities
Hands-on experience with SAP configuration support and optimization
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Experience

Experience with process manufacturing / batch-based environments (e.g. powders chemicals food)
Exposure to Batchmaster or similar systems
Experience in post-go-live stabilization and system ownership roles
