Job Summary
*** Adult Psych RN Days/Eves/Nights Rotate & EOW 36hrs. *** Unit Name: Epstein 5 Adult Unit Description: 30-bed unit adults ages 18-65. We treat patients with diverse types of mental health issues (anxiety depression suicidal ideation schizophrenia bipolar disorder borderline personality disorder dual diagnosis patients: Detox here on the unit while treating mental health issues) and some medically acute patients (IVs CPAPs Wound Care diabetic care).Years of Experience Required: 2 years minimum of inpatient adult psych Sets Required: Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and side effects. Able to assume the role of charge nurse; able to complete admissions and discharges. Competent in the use of IV pumps and care of diabetic to Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 7 or 8 Population: Adults ages 18 to 65 Count: (Charting System): Required: Shifts Required: Yes for Day Rotate (7a-7p 11a-11p & 7p-7a). Rotation is not required for Night Required: Active Massachusetts RN License. AHA BLS.
