Job Summary
| Job Description: The Senior Associate Project Management supports both internal and external operational aspects of ongoing projects within a program. This role ensures alignment between project management planning project teams and line management. Responsibilities include mentoring project issues; and implementing mechanisms to track progress and drive problem-solving.
Essential Functions: Oversees and manages internal and/or external operational aspects of ongoing projects within a program. External aspects require leadership and broad expertise across a multitude of disciplines. Internal aspects may include leading a subset of the projects scope or interface between project management and planning project team and line management. Influences the adoption of practices approaches and concepts across multiple disciplines. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops and implements mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers line managers and clients. Other duties as assigned |
| Qualifications: Requires practical knowledge of job area. Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Microsoft Office Proficiency Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Prior project management experience in aerospace and defense environment |
