Role Overview

We are seeking a senior hands-on Lead E Commerce Engineer to drive the design development and optimization of customer-facing digital commerce platforms. This role blends technical leadership with active hands-on delivery owning architecture platform integrations and engineering execution across large-scale e commerce experiences.

You will lead a small but high-impact engineering function partner closely with Product UX Content and Marketing teams and ensure the platform is scalable secure performant and conversion-focused.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Core Requirements

• 7 years of software engineering experience with 3 years in a technical leadership role
• Strong hands-on experience with React-based web applications and APIs
• Deep experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) (3 years strongly preferred)
• Solid knowledge of Java / Spring Boot and modern backend integration patterns
• Experience with microservices SPAs event-driven and serverless architectures
• Strong understanding of PCI WCAG PII encryption and security best practices

• Salesforce Commerce Cloud OMS CRM integrations
• API Gateways GraphQL OAuth
• CDN DNS SSL Akamai / edge computing
• AI-driven search (e.g. Coveo or similar)

Cloud & DevOps

• AWS (API Gateway containerized services)
• Docker Kubernetes Terraform / CloudFormation
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins GitLab Bitbucket
• Monitoring: Dynatrace Splunk Grafana

Quality & Testing

• Automated testing and QA tools: Playwright BrowserStack Xray
• Performance & security testing: K6 Lighthouse CI SonarQube

AI Enablement

• Hands-on use of AI tools (Copilot OpenAI Kiro AI) for development testing or analytics
