Job Title: SDET Software Development Engineer in Test (Mid Level) - Hybrid

Duration (Contract): 12 Months

Client Location: Austin TX

Location Preference: Hybrid

Job Description:
As a Software Development Engineer in Test you will design develop and maintain automated testing solutions for iOS and Android mobile applications. You will work closely with Agile delivery teams to ensure mobile applications meet quality performance and usability standards through robust automation frameworks continuous execution and actionable reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain automated test scripts for iOS and Android mobile applications.
Execute full cycle mobile testing including UI functional compatibility usability and accessibility testing.
Analyze application requirements and translate them into effective automation test coverage.
Configure and manage testing on simulators emulators and cloud based or real device platforms.
Ensure automated tests execute continuously and report results failures and metrics promptly.
Create detailed test reports with screenshots and videos for failed test scenarios.
Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with developers product owners and Scrum teams to plan and achieve testing goals.
Track defects and manage test cases using industry standard test management tools.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

4 years of experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
3 years of experience in mobile application development or testing.
Strong hands on experience with Appium using Java for mobile automation.
Experience creating UI automation using XCUITest for iOS and Espresso for Android.
Proficiency with cloud based mobile testing platforms such as Sauce Labs or Perfecto.
Strong understanding of iOS and Android operating systems device configurations and debugging tools.
Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Git based workflows.
Knowledge of test case design automation best practices and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $70.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
