Quality Supervisor (SPV QC)

About the Company

Geekhunter is recruiting on behalf of our client an Indonesian company engaged in the manufacturing distribution and trading of office stationery and filing products.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop implement and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System to ensure products meet both customer and internal standards.
• Oversee end-to-end quality control processes in production including Incoming Quality Control (IQC) In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) and Outgoing Quality Control (OQC).
• Ensure customer-specific quality requirements are clearly defined translated and effectively implemented in the production process.
• Lead quality issue resolution by identifying problems conducting root cause analysis implementing corrective actions and ensuring closure.
• Handle customer complaints prepare 8D reports and monitor corrective actions until completion.
• Manage train and develop the QC team to enhance overall performance and capability.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Production Engineering Purchasing) to drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and enforce quality standards in daily operations to ensure compliance with established procedures.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in Quality Control with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong hands-on experience in manufacturing/production environments with solid understanding of shopfloor quality control processes.
• Experience handling custom or non-standard products is an advantage.
• Background in automotive or home appliance industries (assembly components structural parts) is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage quality issues independently including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System and internal audit processes.
• Strong leadership communication and cross-department coordination skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced factory environment and handle pressure effectively.
• Experience working in Chinese companies or an understanding of Chinese management style is a plus.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written) as a working language.

Quality Tools & Methodologies (Preferred):

• Strong knowledge of quality tools such as 5 Why Fishbone Diagram and Pareto Analysis
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D CAPA NCR)
• Familiar with continuous improvement approaches (PDCA)
• Understanding of SPC and AQL sampling standards
• Knowledge of 4M1E in shopfloor quality control
