Job Summary

Purpose of the Role

The HSE Intern supports the HSE team in promoting a safe healthy and environmentally responsible workplace. The role focuses on learning assisting with implementation of HSE practices and raising awareness of safety standards across company premises.

Role Overview

  • Support the implementation of company HSE policies and procedures under the guidance of the HSE team.
  • Assist in ensuring safe working practices are followed within company premises.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring compliance with health safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Support routine inspections and daily walk-arounds to promote safety awareness and good housekeeping especially on the shop floor.
  • Help track the condition and availability of safety equipment such as fire-fighting equipment first aid kits spill kits and safety harnesses.
  • Assist in communicating HSE procedures and safety messages to employees.
  • Support the organization of safety trainings workshops and awareness sessions.
  • Assist in accident/incident reporting and basic investigations under supervision.
  • Support safety inductions for visitors new employees and interns.
  • Participate in emergency drills and support emergency response preparedness activities.
  • Assist with documentation and reporting related to HSE activities.

Learning & Development Focus

  • Gain practical exposure to workplace health safety and environmental standards.
  • Learn about safety regulations emergency response procedures and risk prevention.
  • Develop communication and coordination skills within a professional work environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or student in any field (engineering or science background is an advantage).
  • Basic knowledge or academic exposure to health and safety concepts is preferred.

  • Proactive attitude toward safety and compliance.
