Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead robot quality assurance and software user experience serving as a critical bridge between engineering product and the people who will ultimately use our this role you will be responsible for validating new features surfacing regressions and ensuring our robots are consistently providing the best user experience across a wide range of capabilities through rigorous testing user studies and demonstrations.

You will operate at the intersection of robotics QA and customer engagementrunning structured test protocols conducting live demonstrations supporting user studies and feeding firsthand observations back into the development cycle. Your work will directly shape how we ship new capabilities how reliably they perform and how compelling they are to customers and partners.

This role requires both strong technical fluency and outstanding interpersonal presence. The ideal candidate is comfortable debugging a robot one hour and presenting to a group of test users the next cultivating a sharp eye for performant robot behavior and building the evaluation rigor that turns subjective judgment into consistent actionable signal.

Key job responsibilities
- Own and execute the robot software QA program running structured tests across mapping and navigation autonomy teleoperation conversational interfaces and other services to validate new features and catch regressions
- Develop maintain and expand our test suite in lockstep with developers ensuring new features ship with appropriate coverage and that human-performed tests are evaluated with consistency and rigor
- Lead customer- and partner-facing studies to validate the demonstrations of our robot operating independently and representing the product company vision and value proposition in a professional personable and accurate manner
- Support and help run user studies capturing structured observations of how people interact with the robot and translating those findings into engineering and product signal
- Debug and triage robot issues in the field to keep demos running smoothly resolving simple problems on the spot while clearly escalating deeper issues back to engineering
- Partner with developers to design new test and study scenarios as capabilities come online and convert demo-worthy behaviors into comprehensive end-to-end tests and targeted canary tests
- Serve as a high-signal feedback loop to engineering on robot performance failure modes and potential new features that would strengthen our demo narrative and customer-facing capabilities
- Identify manual tests and evaluations that are ripe for automation and drive the work to get them there
- Cultivate and promote a shared standard for what good robot behavior looks like so evaluations remain consistent across people time and product surface

- 3 years of technical program management experience
- 2 years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- 2 years of experience in QA test engineering or hands-on work with complex hardware/software systems
- Working familiarity with Unix/Linux systems (shell SSH reading logs basic scripting)

- Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers stakeholders and/or teammates
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience with ROS or other robotics-adjacent software frameworks
- Experience working with robotics platforms
- Experience developing and scaling test programs for robotics autonomous systems or other complex cyber-physical products
- Familiarity with user experience study or demonstration design

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
