Job Summary
The Finance CoOp role supports the Supervisor in processing payments including preparing issuing and mailing checks as well as troubleshooting vendor payment submission issues. Responsibilities include handling correspondence related to payment status and ensuring timely resolution of any concerns. This position works closely with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure payments are accurate timely and properly delivered.
Because this role involves access to confidential financial information the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.
Responsibilities
- This position provides support to internal crossdivisional teams in their use of online systems as wellas toexternal vendors. Responsibilities include communicating payment status updates and collaborating with teams that manage invoicing or vendor maintenance to resolve issues efficiently.
- Responsibilities includedailymailing of special handling checks responding to internal and external inquiries toreissue or cancel payments resolution of returned or rejected paymentsreviewand approval ofrequests in Payment Request Toolassistingwiththe yearly escheatment process and otherprojects as assigned.
- Co-Opsare expected to develop a good business relationship withthe vendorsand internal customers to minimize unexpected issues orpayment delays.
Qualifications
MinimumRequirements
- Must be currently enrolled in anassociates or bachelorsdegree program in accounting finance or business
- Must be available to work at least one (1) year part time (approx. 28 hours per week) during school year and over school breaks
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products ( Excel Power Point Teams and/or Outlook)
