Job Title: Senior Offshore Shift Supervisor
Location: Worldwide
Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with regard to interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board
Supervise the team of foremen and supervisors with regard to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work in order to comply with the quality and safety standard
Coordinate the construction activities during the shift and optimise all production phases
Ensure that the Offshore Construction Manager is kept fully informed of potential problems and construction status
Liaise with Chief Mate 2nd Engineer and Vessel Equipment Engineer in order to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities
Liaise with subcontractors supervisors to optimize production
Solve matters related to coordination priority and interface between the different disciplines in order to meet the scopes of the project
Ensure that the Permit-to-Work system for construction crew is adhered to and ensures that the daily Tool Box Talks and JSA if required are carried out according to the procedures
Motivate all construction crew/subcontractors with regards to health safety and environment awareness
Ensure the compliance with the standards dictated by Saipem QHSE policies and safety procedures in order to perform the activities in a safe manner
Report incidents and near-miss events
Manage the Crane operations including coordination with the Chief Mate for main crane movements on board ROV launching and underwater operations
Assist marine operations if required
Provide a construction report at the end of each shift
Assist the Vessel Field Engineer in the follow up of project equipment and consumable operation and monitoring of the stinger and JLT
Ensure the rigging gear used is within date and properly marked
Report to the Offshore Construction Manager
Requirements
4 year of experience in the role of 1st assistant (Roles that are equivalent in experience can be found below
Preferably with Technical High School Diploma or Civil mechanical electrical or naval engineering background
Fluent in English
Due to visa restrictions we are looking for nationalities that can travel freely worldwide.
6-7 years of prior experience in the oil & gas business
No candidates already following a maritime career
Preferred with engineering background
