Property Paralegal / Junior Solicitor (Commercial & Residential)

Location: East London (Office-Based)

If youre a property paralegal (or junior solicitor) who wants proper hands-on exposure to commercial property and residential new build work this is a strong opportunity to join our clients busy East London team. Youll be working closely with experienced fee earners on developer-led transactions with structured support and a genuine pathway to becoming an independent fee earner.
This is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the detail wants to build technical confidence quickly and is looking for a role where development is more than just a promise.
The Role (Commercial & Residential Property)
This is a full-time permanent role within our clients Commercial and Residential Property teams with a strong focus on:
- Commercial property transactions
- Residential new build plot sales(primarily acting for developers)
Youll work alongside supervising fee earners and as you progress take ownership of suitable matters with mentoring and oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Youll support on a wide range of property matters including:
- Drafting commercial property documents such as:
- Leases
- Licences to assign
- Deposit deeds
- Licences to alter
- Draftingstandard commercial and residential property contracts
- Assisting with ancillary commercial documents including:
- Option agreements
- Conditional purchase agreements
- Deeds of grant
- Supportingresidential new build plot sales: preparing draft contracts/leases issuing legal packs liaising with estate agents
- Reviewingpre-contract enquiriesas first point of review before escalation
- Assisting withauction purchases and sales
- Supportingportfolio refinancing transactions with scope to manage your own refinancing files as you develop
- Preparing corporate documents linked to refinancing including:
- Board minutes
- Resolutions
- Director certificates
Requirements (Experience & Skills)
To be considered you should have:
- Previous experience in commercial and/or residential property(paralegal experience essential; junior solicitors considered depending on background)
- A strong academic foundation and solid legal research capability
- Familiarity withPractical Law (PLC) precedents(highly desirable)
- Strong IT skillsand confidence usingcase management systems
- Ability toopen manage and maintain fileswith good attention to detail
Youll also need to be comfortable working with minimal secretarial support taking responsibility for your own admin and file management.
