To apply for this job you must:
- Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
- Be a Canadian citizen a permanent resident of Canada or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
International students and other temporary residents of Canada are not eligible.
This role is for 8 weeks at 35 hours per week.
The incumbent is eligible to participate in the Canada Summer Jobs program and will be responsible for providing support to the Administration team in various projects and activities including employer outreach customer service and facilitation.
Assist with various office tasks such as answering calls scheduling appointments electronic filing data entry printing scanning email etc.
Providing support to walk-in clients on the computer with employment-related tasks.
Assist Facilitation and Retention Specialist team with tasks related to workshop facilitation and resume building.
Working with various tracking sheets online database and excel spreadsheets.
Assist Workforce Specialist and Employment Team with securing placement opportunities for job seekers including job trials job shadowing and temporary/long-term employment.
Assist in maintaining accurate records (files and/or database) regarding clients job placements community resources and contact information of employers job seekers community partners etc.
Preparing accurate and well-formed reports drafts documentation and correspondence as required.
Other duties as requested by management.
