Job Summary

Indoor Positioning System Installer at U.S. Trade Show

Sherpa is hiring on-site installers for short-term contracts at major U.S. trade shows. Events take place throughout the year in cities like Las Vegas Orlando Chicago San Diego and New York. Youll help our team of 5 deploy our indoor positioning system before the show opens and dismantle it after it closes with free days in the host city in between.

The work concretely

Essentially the job consists of mounting small transmitters (about 0.5 1 3) at precise locations marked on a floor plan at heights of 2 metres (6.5 feet) using 3M hanging strips or zip ties. Youll then help calibrate the system. Training is provided on-site no prior experience is required.

The catch: everything must be installed and calibrated before the show opens which means working a crowded convention floor alongside the booth installers. Expect noise tight deadlines and a lot of shared space and camaraderie.
