Local Pay: $35/hr Travel Pay: up to $42/hr based on experience
Shift & Schedule: 3x12s 7:00 AM 7:00 PM Every other weekend required

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Mental Health Therapy Aide (MHT) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in a psychiatric inpatient setting
• Take and record vital signs and monitor patient condition
• Assist with patient admissions and unit orientation
• Support physical exams and specimen collection
• Monitor intake and output (I&O) and report changes
• Assist patients with ADLs including hygiene and mobility
• Maintain therapeutic relationships with pediatric and adolescent patients
• Support behavioral crisis intervention and de-escalation
• Maintain a safe environment with routine safety checks
• Transport patients and assist in therapeutic activities
• Document care accurately in EMR systems
• Communicate with nursing and multidisciplinary teams
• Observe and report behavioral and treatment changes

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of psychiatric/MHT experience required
• Acute care hospital experience required
• Current CPR certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with EMR systems required
• Ability to work in high-acuity psychiatric environment
• Comfortable working with pediatric and adolescent patients
