Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Graduate Architect to be based in Seattle Washington.
This position is expected to begin ASAP.
As a Graduate Architect at AECOM you will combine your creativity and technical aptitude to design and create unique sustainably responsible functional solutions for clients. This role will allow you to bring your passion skills and collaborative spirit to deliver projects that have a direct positive impact on the spaces that define the world we live in.
Job Summary/Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing models and drawings during all design phases.
- In collaboration with a Project Architect perform technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
- May coordinate and collaborate activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
- Develop as a subject matter expert on emerging architectural and design technologies and processes.
- Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
- Performs entry level work.
- Follows instructions to accomplish task assigned by senior staff.
- Meets required schedules while producing high quality work.
- Working closely with a Senior Architect / Project Manager independently preparing and presenting client focused design solutions to project team members.
- Preparing contract drawings during all design phases.
- May coordinate and collaborate in activities with employees in other disciplines and departments internally and externally.
- Prepare designs renderings sketches diagrams schematic and working drawings to illustrate design solutions.
- Develop and document details to communicate design intent.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Accredited Bachelors degree in Architecture and/or demonstrated equivalent experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient with Revit.
- Relevant year of experience working in an Architecture Firm or Internship Experience.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with Bluebeam SketchUp Rhino and/or Dynamo.
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Ability to meet quality schedule and budget expectations.
- Willing to be mentored by leadership.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines.
Additional Information :
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes office work in Seattle Washington. The selected candidate must be available to work in Seattle Washington on a scheduled basis.
