Were looking for a driven Methods Engineer to join Fulton Hogans Technical Team in Auckland - we are happy to discuss a Christchurch location also.

Youll work alongside our tendering and delivery teams to shape how we build developing robust construction methods staging and temporary works and then digitally rehearsing them to prove theyre safe efficient and buildable.

Youll be right at the centre of our biggest infrastructure projects helping site teams solve complex problems and find smarter ways of doing things.

What youll be doing

• Working with delivery and new business teams to develop smart credible methodologies for delivering complex projects
• Developing digital engineering construction stage sequencing and 4D rehearsals of construction activities
• Collaborating with site teams and temporary works designers to produce practical innovative construction methodologies
• Supporting tenders with methodology development staging concepts modelling and Safety in Design assessments through digital rehearsal
• Facilitating methodology workshops with engineers and site crews to challenge the norm and find better ways to build
• Participating in tender handovers to ensure methodology is understood and helping refine or improve methods as the job progresses
• Planning construction logistics and complex lifts making sure risk is identified communicated and well managed

Were looking for someone with:

• Enjoyment of working with a wide range of people from site teams and engineers to planners and designers
• At least 10 years in construction with a minimum of 5 years in a sitebased role
• Experience in a methods/construction engineering role or a delivery role where youve developed complex methodologies sequencing and temporary works
• Proven experience developing construction methodologies for infrastructure projects
• Bridge tunnelling or water infrastructure experience (preferred)
• A solid working understanding of cranes piling rigs and key construction plant to support methodology development (preferred)
• Confidence working with design and construction partners to develop technically robust and commercially smart construction solutions
• Ability to generate review and oversee methodologies sequencing and temporary works concepts under tight timeframes and with limited information
• Strong risk lens skilled at identifying communicating and helping to mitigate construction risk
• Commercial nous to engage and manage external professional service providers where required
• Competency in REVIT AutoCAD Rhino or similar 3D modelling software
