Position Purpose
In the Inpatient Rehab Unit at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital the Registered Nuse (RN) provides inpatient care for adult patients recovering from injuries surgeries or chronic conditions requiring intensive therapy.
What You Will Do:
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals.
Administer medications IV therapy and pain management interventions as prescribed as well as monitoring for complications infections or changes in condition responding appropriately to emergencies.
Assist patients with mobility transfers and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote functional independence.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
Graduation from an accredited nursing school
Valid RN license in Connecticut
Preferred:
Bachelors degree in Nursing
The ideal candidate will have two or more years of rehabilitation orthopedic or med-surg nursing in a acute inpatient setting.
BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
